Will the GameCube ever be retro?

I was wondering if the gamecube will ever be retro. The Wii can play GameCube games so the system is not necessary. and those games are old now and dont sell for much at gamestop. I got $10 appiece for chibi robo and Pikmin 2... I dont think people will think of GameCubes like they think of NES (Nintendo) and SNES (Super Nintendo)

I... don't know much about the Gamecube xD; but... I can't really see it being seen like the NES or the SNES even in the future o.O Leik it will be old eventually of coarse... but isn't Game Cube 3D?? it's so different and newer technologie then 8-bit. BUT WHO KNOWS? xDD

the GameCube i think is 128 bit

WOAH!!! I didn't know games could look taht realistic now O____O I'm so behind lawlz. I aggree and don't see how games could look better than THAT o.o
